Benfica bounced from Portuguese Cup by Madeira's Maritimo
"Benfica were knocked out of the Portuguese Cup at the last 16 stage after suffering a surprise 2-1 defeat at Maritimo on Friday.
Coach Jorge Jesus’s decision to make several changes to his startinglineup seemed to be paying off when Argentine forward Javier Saviola put Benfica in front with a first-half penalty.
Midfielder Roberto Sousa then levelled for Maritimo, who are fourth in the league, with a long-range drive in the 60th minute and Sami lobbed the winner over keeper Eduardo 10 minutes later.

Benfica have the same points as Porto (27) after 11 matches but trail the league leaders on goal difference.
Arch-rivals Porto also made an early exit from the Portuguese Cup, the holders losing 3-0 at Academica in the previous round.

"The December issue of Rolling Stone puts Mourinho on its cover and crowns
him “rockstar of the year” with extensive reporting about Real Madrid’s
manager featuring interviews with “old colleagues, journalists and also
close friends”.
The magazine talks about his “defiance, polemic message, impertinent wit and
above all his provocative attitude on the bench and at press conferences“.
According to Rolling Stone, the Portuguese manager’s persona can be summed
up in one pithy phrase: “the machiavellian art of making the world go nuts“.
Among the international media, the Mourinho cover is spreading like
wildfire: Spanish newspapers El País and El Mundo, As and Marca and several
Portuguese newspapers have already picked up Rolling Stone’s idyosincratic
cover.

But there’s more: on its website, Rolling Stones shows a picture of Oasis
singer Noel Gallagher holding its December Spanish edition. The British
musical icon regards Mourinho as one of his heroes and is even quoted as
saying that he “would kiss him”, according to an interview given in October
to Spanish broadsheet El Mundo.
